Fund Established to Support Elma Area Betterment Projects

The Elma Area Betterment Endowment Fund (Quasi) has been established with the Elma Area Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, to support community betterment projects in the Elma area.

In 2012, the Elma Area Wellness Center was founded by a group seeking to start a 24/7 fitness facility in Elma. Through the efforts of many donors and volunteers, the nonprofit facility became a reality and opened its doors in January 2013. The wellness center was recently sold to local resident, Jeffrey Hoover, and re-opened as Growth Culture Fitness, LLC. The new Elma Area Betterment Endowment Fund (Quasi) was established from the proceeds to support the Elma area community. Grants from the fund will be distributed for community betterment projects in the Elma Area.
