  • Estate and Legacy Planning

    We can help you assist your clients and their families with legacy planning that incorporates their charitable aspirations with their personal financial goals to make a forever impact on their community and the causes they love.

    We have many charitable fund options, including donor advised funds, scholarship funds, designated funds and more, to create strategic philanthropic solutions for your clients.

  • Client Gift Options

    CFNEIA accepts a wide-range of gift types to provide maximum impact for your client and their community. Our staff are experts in cash and non-cash assets and can assist in developing a tax-savvy and impactful giving strategies.

  • An Alternative to Private Foundations

    If your client is considering establishing a private foundation, a donor advised fund at Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa may be a simpler, less expensive solution. Donor advised funds offer many of the same benefits, but with none of the administrative hassles or payout requirements of a private foundation. See Our Comparison Chart

  • Sample Bequest Langauge

    "I give, devise and bequeath                                        (percent of the residuary estate, address or description of property to be given, or dollar amount) to the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, 3117 Greenhill Circle, Cedar Falls, IA 50613 tax ID# 42-6060414. This gift shall benefit the                                      Name of Fund                                  ."

    To leave a bequest to one of our County Affiliates, the language above may be amended to state "to the (name of County Affiliate here), an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, tax ID# 42-6060414."

  • Memorandum of Understanding for Bequest Planning

    A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is a non-binding form that outlines the charitable intentions of your client so we can be sure to carry out their charitable giving legacy. If your client would like to establish a named fund or create a fund through a bequest, please contact us to discuss putting together an MOU.
